Daily Hydration Elixir
Recipe:
1 glass of spring water
juice of 1 lime (or lemon)
1 scoop of electrolytes (OR 1 tsp sea salt)
1 shot applecider vinegar (OPTIONAL)
I love to begin my day with this potent hydration elixer that cleans and mineralizes my body. It is an aboslute essential coponent of my daily routine.
The minerals from the electrolytes are essential. Over 99 percent of people are dehydrated - which actually has less to do from people not drinking enough water but rather from LACKING MINERALS in the body. If the body is lacking minerals, then it can not adequately hold onto the water you drink, no matter how much you guzzle down.
Our world is chronically demineralized due to mineral depletion in our soils, and thus also in our food. Ontop of this, toxins in the environment (like barium in our atmonsphere) have been shown to deplete our ability to retain minerals.
- NOTE ON THE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR (ACV): If I didn't eat the best the day/night before, or just feeling like I need the extra kick, ACV is a life saver. It regulates blood sugar and helps the body become more alkaline (the body compensates for the acidity of the vinegar by activating mechanisms to raise its pH). Acidity in the body is extremely common due to our highly inflammatory environments and diets.
However, if Im feeling good, I'll sometimes leave the ACV out, as it can be a bit intense.
